I removed the wxstationlist.bin and wzmapping.bin but that didn't solve the issue. If thats not your issue, could you post your FSUIPC4.log and. The WX files are simply where FS saves the current weather with its Flights, and the WXstationList.bin file will be rebuilt on the next P3D load. The only way then to correct the issue is to delete the weather files (.WX) from your Flight Simulator X Files folder in your Documents, and the wxstationlist.bin from the same folder as the FSX.CFG file. If it works with that, you have a corrupt weather file. You can try adding the following line to the section of your FSUIPC4.ini file to temporarily disable weather facilities: (shameless plug).It could be due to a corrupt weather file. I honestly don't think that will be necessary.Īnd then I would try out X-Plane using the $$'s saved by not having to buy another copy of FSX.
If by some chance it does not activate, then I would try the MS phone in activation. If this were me, I would re-install the software that I have already paid for. This is not a violation of the license agreement because the software is not being used/installed on more than one PC at the same time. When I build a new gaming rig, I personally have re-installed my FSX Gold set on the new PC without any issue at all. The OEM license is good for a single mother board and can not be transferred. The FSX box license is not the same as the MS OEM operating system license. The FSX single user license can be transferred to a new PC as long as it is removed from the old PC. BUT.it does NOT limit you to a specific PC forever. The MS license agreement allows you to install FSX box on a single PC.
